No laser extraction

Wrong choice of the three tap positions ON, OFF, RUN on old Q drivers: OFF is to stop the laser forcibly and ON is to start the laser forcibly; the right method is to choose RUN.

The board card is problematic and needs replacement. Under normal circumstances, the voltage of Q signal is: low level for Kairui board card, i.e., 0V when marking and +5V when not marking; high level for JCZ board card, I.e., +5V when marking and 0V when not marking.

If there is open circuit on the signal cable between board card and drivers, replace or re-weld it.

If the light route is not proper, re-adjust it.

If the krypton lamp is problematic, replace it.

If the operation system or the computer is problematic, reinstall the OS or replace the computer.

If the laser power supply is problematic, replace it.

If the Q driver is problematic, replace it.

If the Q switch is problematic, replace it.

Weak laser

Failure of choosing CW mode of the marking software will cause weak laser. Choose the CW mode.

Wrong tap position choice of M1, M2, or M3 on Q drivers. The right choice is M1.

Wrong focal distance, readjust it.

The water temperature is too high.

The krypton lamp is aging and needs replacement.

Completely reflecting mirror or half-reflecting mirror, focusing mirror, galvanometer lens, lens of Q switch are dirty or nicked. Clean or replace if need.

The cavity, the completely reflecting mirror, the half-reflecting mirror or the extender lens were not correctly adjusted and need readjustment.

The Q switch was not correctly adjusted. It will give out light when marking and the laser will be stopped when not marking. Uplift the current of the laser power supply to a proper level and check whether there is laser leakage by putting the laser alignment card in front of the half-reflecting mirror. Laser leakage will weaken the laser beam and readjustment of the Q switch is necessary.

The laser beam didn’t cast at the centre point on the galvanometer or the galvanometer is nicked. Readjust the light route or replace the galvanometer.

Uninterrupted laser beam

Wrong procedure of turning on the machine may cause uninterrupted laser beam. The right procedure to turn on the machine is: main power supply=> computer=>marking software=>water chiller=>Q drivers=>laser power supply=>the indicator READY of the laser power supply on =>press RUN to start=> power switch of the galvanometer.

The board card is problematic and needs replacement. If Kairui board card is used, pay attention to the jumpers on the board card: the T end should be chosen if the machine is YAG50. (This must be taken into consideration when replace the Kairui main board).

The Q switch was not correctly adjusted. It will give out light when marking and the laser will be stopped when not marking.

If the Kairui software used, the marking software may be problematic and need reinstallation.

If the operation system or the computer is problematic, reinstall the OS or replace the computer.

If the Q driver is problematic, replace it.

If the Q switch is problematic, replace it. (Rarely occur and alarm will be triggered if the Q switch is broken.)

The galvanometer doesn’t move

If the parameter of X, Y proportion adjustment in Kairui software is zero, the galvanometer will not move. Readjust it.

The board card is problematic and needs replacement. Under normal circumstance, the voltage of the X, Y galvanometer signal on the board card is 0-5V when marking and 0V when not marking.

There is open circuit on the galvanometer signal wire and it should be replaced.

If the Qinlong galvanometer is used, the jumper near the signal indicator on the driver must be disconnected otherwise the galvanometer won’t move.

The galvanometer is problematic and needs replacement.

If the operation system or the computer is problematic, reinstall the OS or replace the computer.

Shaking or whistling galvanometer

The grounding is defective and need repair.

The board card is problematic and needs replacement.

Turn off the laser power supply and Q driver, and then feel whether the galvanometer is shaking or whistling. If the problem was eliminated, turn on the laser power supply and the Q driver one by one to check whether it’s caused by laser power supply or Q driver.

If it’s the laser power supply caused shaking or whistling of the galvanometer, the HV wire of the laser power supply should be separated as much as possible. This usually eliminates the problem. If the problem remains, replace the laser power supply.

If it’s the Q driver caused shaking or whistling of the galvanometer, check whether there is short between the Q driver and the Q switch, which will cause such problem. If the problem remains, replace the Q driver.

The galvanometer is problematic and needs replacement.

If the operation system or the computer is problematic, reinstall the OS or replace the computer.

The Kairui marking software close itself automatically after starting (the treatments for YMDF and RF series are the same)

The softdog was not well installed and need reinstallation.

The driver of softdog was not well installed and need reinstallation.

Poor marking effect (the treatments for YMDF and RF series are the same)

It’s caused by problematic marking software or system. Reinstall the marking software or system.

The parameters of the marking software were not correct and need modification.

The focal distance is not proper and need modification.

The marking graphic was not well done or the marking material is of poor quality.

Distorted graphics (the treatments for YMDF and RF series are the same)

The marking graphics was not well done and need to be worked over.

The parameters are not correct. Adjust the distortion and calibrate the pillow drum and horizontal vertical calibration.

The galvanometer was not properly adjusted and need readjustment.

The marking software or the system is problematic and need reinstallation.

The galvanometer is problematic and needs replacement.

Wrong size (the treatments for YMDF and RF series are the same)

If the size of the graphic itself exported is not consistent with that of the original graphic, work it over. Marking software can modify that of simple graphics and the complicated graphics are liable to distortion.

The focal distance was changed and need readjustment.

The proportion parameters were not correct and need modification.

If several pictures of different size are going to be marked in one graphic, the parameters can be adjusted and calibrated in JCZ software. There is no such parameter for adjustment in Kairui software.

Marking malposition after a while (the treatments for YMDF and RF series are the same)

The screws used to fix galvanometer are loose. Fix the galvanometer firmly.

The OS or the marking software is problematic; or anti-virus software installed will cause this issue. Reinstall the marking software after reinstall the OS or uninstall the anti-virus software.

It’s the galvanometer itself is problematic and needs replacement.

Waved marking straight line (the treatments for YMDF and RF series are the same)

The grounding is defective and need repair.

The galvanometer is problematic and needs replacement.

Disturbance from laser power supply or static.

Unavailable pedal switch (the treatments for YMDF and RF series are the same)

To use pedal switch in Kairui software, the small triangle symbol in the common toolbar should be used for marking (press F5 to open the marking dialogue box).

The pedal switch is problematic and needs replacement.

The board card is problematic. Under normal circumstances, the signal voltage of pedal switch has one 5V signal voltage whether it’s marking or not.

There is open circuit on the signal wire between board card and pedal switch.

If ICZ board card is used, check whether the setup of (F3 parameters) / port / beginning port / input port are zero. The pedal switch won’t work if they are not set to zero.

Trip of air switch

Check whether there is HV sparks

Check whether the output power had exceeded the rated power.

Parts may be broken on the main circuit.

Water chiller out of work

Check whether the power supply wire had been connected.

Check whether the input voltage is too low.

Whether the water chiller is problematic.
