In September 2005, Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and Guangdong provincial government jointly signed “Cooperation Agreement on Speeding up Guangdong’s Socioeconomic Development by Enhancing Capability of Self-reliance and Innovation”. After that, the above three units launched a nationwide project of production-teaching-research integration of provincial and ministerial level in the name of “one province, two ministries”. The project has been smoothly carried out in Guangdong with supports from governments and involvement of China’s prestigious institutions of higher learning. Enterprises- led and market-oriented, the project helps to integrate deeply all resources and facilitates the forming of a good production-teaching-research collaboration pattern. As a result, it greatly pushes forward Guangdong’s socioeconomic
development.Dongguan Yueming Laser Technology Co., Ltd. seized the chance and made lots of achievements of research projects in its cooperation with universities: 1. SM laser cutting machine and engraving machine obtain first-class prize for Dongguan Scientific and Technological Progress and second-class prize for Guangdong Scientific and Technological Progress respectively; 2. YMRF-MV100 laser marking machine obtains first-class prize for Dongguan Scientific and Technological Progress; 3. CM laser cutting and engraving machine and multi-drill adjustable cutting machine obtain third-class prizes for Dongguan Scientific and Technological Progress. Yueming at the same time gained good economic benefits from the technological advances and currently 60 % of its products are results of production-teaching-research integration. So because of their high-tech content and fine quality, Yueming’s laser processing equipments sell well in markets both home and abroad. Thus Yueming takes a powerful hold of Asian market share of small and middle laser processing equipments.
Several of Yueming’s award-receiving products are presented at the technology exhibition.
