Laser engraving can be divided into two different ways, dot matrix laser engraving and vector laser engraving.
Dot matrix laser engraving
Dot matrix laser engraving is like high-resolution dot matrix printing. When engraving, laser head moves from side to side, each time it sculpture out a series high intensity dots, and then the laser head moves up and down while engraving out a number of lines and finally constitute full-page image or text. The scanning graphics or picture, text and bitmap can used dot matrix laser engraving to processing.
Vector laser engraving
Different with dot matrix laser engraving, vector laser engraving machine cuts in the outer contour line. We usually use this mode on wood, acrylic, paper and other material for laser engraving or for penetrating cutting. It can also mark pattern on a variety of material surfaces.
An engraving machine performance mainly depends on laser engraving speed, strength of laser engraving and size of laser beam determined.
